Wilton Manors is a city as vibrant and diverse as the people who call it home.
But to truly represent our community, we need that same diversity reflected in the voices shaping our city’s future. That’s why I’m inviting you — our LGBTQ community, our allies, our residents of all backgrounds — to consider serving on a city board.
City boards are where real change happens. They guide decisions on city planning, parks and events, budgeting, library services, community affairs, and more. Whether you have expertise in finance, a passion for the arts, or simply a love for our community, there’s a board that could use your perspective. And we need more perspectives — more representation from women, people of color, trans and nonbinary residents, renters, small business owners, young professionals, and longtime community members alike.
We have several upcoming openings, including seats on the Planning & Zoning Board, Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, and Community Affairs Advisory Board, among others. Most positions require city residency, so if you call Wilton Manors home, this is your chance to step up and make an impact.
I know that serving on a board might sound intimidating, but I promise — it’s not about being an expert. It’s about bringing your lived experience, your ideas, and your passion for our city to the table. If you’re interested but unsure where you’d fit, I’d love to chat and help you find the best match.
