Looking to add some queer joy, complicated feelings, romance, magic, and intergalactic chaos to your reading list?
This latest batch of LGBTQ+ reads has a little bit of everything, from heartfelt contemporary stories to cursed destinies and swoony celebrity crushes. Whether you’re in the mood to cry, kick your feet, or obsess over fictional characters (same here,) here are a few books worth tossing into your Pride Month TBR.
"One Word, Six Letters" by Adib Khorram (March 17, 2026) Inspired by the author’s own experiences, this timely and emotional novel examines identity, accountability, and community after a school assembly takes a painful turn when a hateful slur is shouted at a visiting queer author. Raw, thoughtful, and incredibly relevant, this sounds like the kind of book that stays with you long after the final page.
"Arcana: The Cursed Fate" by Sam Prentice-Jones (June 23, 2026) Tarot cards, generational curses, friendship drama, queer magic? Yes, please. This YA graphic novel follows five friends racing to break a curse before fate decides their futures for them. Mysterious, magical, and packed with gorgeous vibes, and feels tailor-made for fantasy fans.
"Someone to Daydream About" by Sydney Langford (March 24, 2026) A teen falling for the lead singer of America’s hottest boy band during a summer tour? Immediately adding to cart. Equal parts romance, fandom love letter, disability advocacy, and fanfiction energy, this sounds like the perfect breezy-yet-heartfelt read for anyone who’s ever had a celebrity crush.
"If All the Stars Go Dark" by S.G. Prince (January 20, 2026) A Space opera, but make it queer, dramatic, and chaotic in the best way. Murder mystery? Check. Prison break? Check. Heist? Check. Enemies-to-lovers romance while the fate of the universe hangs in the balance makes this an absolute must read! Delightfully over-the-top and impossible to resist.
Happy reading and happy Pride!
