Fantasy and romance lovers, 2026 is already coming in strong when it comes to books, and it’s all thanks to the incredible lineups from Harper Voyager and Avon Books that bring the promise of exciting and immersive reads for all. This season seems to be overflowing with myth, magic, and love stories that will keep you turning pages well into the night.

Kicking things off in January, Harper Voyager brings us the deluxe paperback of "A Monsoon Rising" by Thea Guanzon. This edition is a showstopper, complete with stenciled edges, a striking jacket design, and my favorite part, features an exclusive excerpt from the third and final installment of the series. Also on the Voyager side, we’ll see two powerful continuations steeped in myth and culture: Maithree Wijesekara’s "The Witch Without Memory" (spring 2026), a lyrical and haunting follow-up, and Kritika H. Rao’s "The Rise of the Celestials" (summer 2026), a tale of gods, mortals, and destiny that refuses to let you go.

Over in the Avon Books corner, the swoons are real, so expect some serious romance between the pages of their upcoming novels.

So, if you love these types of books, these are some to look forward to, so I recommend setting aside space on your bookshelf. Coming on February, "Heartsong" by S.E. Wendel introduces us to a gargoyle MMC, yes, the grey-sweatpants detail is apparently delightfully real, and it seems like a very fun and romantic tale.

Then, USA Today bestselling author E.B. Asher is back with "This Will Be Interesting" (spring 2026), a cozy romantasy full of charm, whimsy, and that magical chaos fans of "This Will Be Fun" will recognize instantly.

Historical romance readers, Avon has your hearts covered too, and its proven by their lineup of offerings as well!

In March, Christy Carlyle’s "The Scoundrel and the Siren" drop us into the adventurous world of a treasure-hunting rogue and a bold local heroine circling around a Viking hoard (I mean, it sounds too fun, right?). Then, in summer 2026, Lenora Bell delivers the next "Thunderbolt Club" installment with "Can’t Get Enough of the Duke." It’s the perfect grumpy-meets-sunshine marriage of convenience romance, and yes, the cover is as gorgeous as everyone’s saying. So, keep your eyes on the bookstore shelves, and of course, on OUTSFL.com, for even more upcoming and current books to add to your TBR. Happy Reading!
