OutSFL is proud to announce its inclusion as one of six new affiliate members of News is Out, a national LGBTQ+ media collaborative.

This expansion includes The Buckeye Flame (Ohio), Between the Lines/Pridesource (Michigan), Lookout (Arizona), QNotesCarolinas (Carolinas), and Watermark Out News (Central Florida).

Together, OutSFL is committed to strengthening the future of queer media through collaboration, shared resources, and collective advocacy.

“At a time when independent queer media is more vital than ever, expanding our collaborative means we can uplift even more voices, share resources, and strengthen the future of LGBTQ+ media,” said Leo Cusimano, owner of the Dallas Voice and a longtime member of News is Out. “We’re thrilled to welcome our new partners and excited for the impact we can make together.”

As an affiliate, OutSFL will participate in shaping the collaborative’s initiatives, including contributing to fundraising efforts, engaging in branded content campaigns, and collaborating on joint applications for philanthropic support.

The six founding publications include Bay Area Reporter, Dallas Voice, Philadelphia Gay News, Tagg Magazine, Washington Blade and Windy City Times.
