Lupita Hollywood is truly a triple threat. She has built careers in volunteerism, fashion design and the art of female illusion.
“I have done community theater and doing drag is playing another part. I am also a fashion designer, so I get to showcase my talents through my costumes. I just love performing in front of people and giving the illusion that I am someone else,” said Hollywood.
Hollywood has worked diligently to hone her craft, having won the Presentation category in the recent Mizz OUTSFL Pageant, where she finished as second runner-up.
“I am proud of my accomplishment in placing as second runner-up. I scored close to two very experienced pageant contestants who have won numerous titles. I feel that the judges noticed what I have to offer,” said Hollywood.
Hollywood had previously worn the crowns for Miss Atlantic Coast National Showgirl Supreme, Miss Palm Beach Pride Supreme and Miss Illusions Classic.
Hollywood understands that the foundation of the Mizz OUTSFL Pageant is based on community service and that contestants must be volunteering on a regular basis.
“I have fun performing and helping worthwhile organizations doubles the pleasure,” said Hollywood.
As a volunteer, she has helped raise more than $250,000 on behalf of the historic Lake Worth Playhouse in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. Hollywood has participated in a variety of fundraising performances for the playhouse including annual turns in Send in the Queens, Divas on Stage and the Diva’s Holiday Party. She also serves as the treasurer of the MCC of the Palm Beaches where she spearheaded the Drag Bingo and Drag Gospel Service events. Other organizations that have benefitted from Hollywood’s true sense of community service include Transpire Help, the Norton Museum of Art and Compass Community Center.
Hollywood has been quoted as saying, “When I started drag, I was nobody in the drag community. I want to be remembered for helping others be true to themselves.”
