The best afternoons are the ones where you are so excited to see and try something new.
For me, it was a seemingly fun restaurant in Palm Beach County, one that I was excited to have been invited to. And, to tell all of you about it!
And that’s exactly how we felt when my teacher colleague and close friend, Marissa, and I found ourselves at The Jupiter Grill’s happy hour.
We were ready to treat ourselves after a long week of teaching high school. It was time to reset and catch up.
The moment we walked through the doors, we knew we were in for something special.
The restaurant, nestled in the heart of Harborside Place, exuded elegance without feeling stuffy, just the right mix of upscale charm and relaxed coastal vibes.
As we glanced around, taking in the stunning interior, we decided to sit at the bar, a choice that turned out to be great, since it was a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The energy of the bartenders as they spent time crafting cocktails with precision made it feel like we were stepping into a hidden gem. And as soon as we were handed the happy hour menu, our excitement grew to pair our drinks with some epic bites.
The Art of the Cocktail
Their classic Hemingway Daiquiri, utilizing Papa Pilar rum, was the first drink to catch my eye. Because, honestly, who doesn’t want to sip on a cocktail inspired by one of literature’s greats?
The cocktail was a great and balanced blend of rum, lime juice, maraschino liqueur, and grapefruit juice. It was both refreshing and sophisticated, with just the right amount of tartness to keep things interesting.
Marissa, on the other hand, opted for their version of the Aperol Spritz, a vibrant and bubbly delight that felt like sunshine in a glass. Light, citrusy, and just the right amount of bitter, it was the perfect drink to unwind with and she loved it.
The restaurant also offers one of my favorite champagnes, Moët and Chandon, Rosé Impérial, by the glass. I just had to have it as I waited for my happy hour bites.
The Bites That Steal the Show
As for the food, we tried the Deviled Egg Flight and let me tell you, this was no ordinary serving of deviled eggs. Each variation was packed with flavor: the blue crab was rich and decadent, the pickled jalapeño and bacon had the perfect smoky kick, and the truffle with caviar one felt like a fun little bite of luxury.
The Wagyu Beef Empanadas included a savory sofrito base combined with Yukon potatoes and an aji verde sauce that gave them a unique and slightly spicy depth of flavor that paired great with our cocktails.
A lot of the happy hour items are ones that you can find at the restaurant’s dinner menu. It’s the place to go to try out the menu at The Jupiter Grill and be tempted to come back.
A Fun Happy Hour Destination
The Jupiter Grill has completely nailed the concept of an upscale yet affordable happy hour.
The fact that their specials run every single day from 3-6 p.m., including weekends, makes this happy hour a great deal.
Beyond the drinks and food, it’s the whole experience that makes The Jupiter Grill stand out.
The atmosphere is lively but never overwhelming, the bartenders are knowledgeable and passionate, and the entire space just invites you to sit back, sip, and savor a relaxing moment with a friend, partner, colleagues or other loved ones.
Whether you’re in the mood for a crisp glass of wine, an expertly crafted cocktail, or a high-end bite without the hefty price tag, this spot delivers.
