There is something special about an intimate girls’ brunch, the laughter, honest conversations and chance to slow down with people who make life more colorful.

I recently headed to Malka West Palm Beach for exactly that kind of afternoon. From the moment we entered, the restaurant felt artistic, warm and beautifully different. Its modern Israeli design features Jerusalem stone-inspired marble, dramatic metal details, lush greenery, Israeli artwork and a Mediterranean garden with a traditional olive tree.

Malka’s new Sunday brunch brings that same creative energy to the table. The menu features Israeli-inspired favorites such as shakshuka, crispy latkes, beef tartare, avocado toast with pepper jam and pickled onions, and Malka’s famous schnitzel. The crusty Jerusalem bagel, baked close to the restaurant’s open wood fire, adds a comforting touch to a menu created for sharing.

At the center of the kitchen is a custom open-fire wood-burning grill, filling the space with the aromas of smoke, fresh bread and ingredients transformed by flame. Cocktails, French and Israeli wines, and inventive choices such as a tahini espresso martini add even more personality to the experience.

The service was warm and attentive, allowing us to linger, laugh and enjoy our time together. By the end, Malka felt like more than a restaurant. It felt like a gathering place where food, culture, art and friendship meet around one beautiful table.

Sometimes, the best memories begin with a simple invitation: Let’s have brunch.
