A Culinary Journey in Delray Beach and Boca Raton

With the holidays approaching, we all might need a little cocktail and escape to a good restaurant. While it’s great to spend time with loved ones, it’s good to sneak away by yourself or with a friend, to escape the hustle and bustle of the gatherings this time of year.

Delray Beach and Boca Raton have some hidden away cocktails and food, many that have been recently introduced. If you are seeking a classy date night, a little trip to Palm Beach County might do the trick.

Below are three spots that have some unique dining and drink offerings for those days that you are feeling extra fabulous and needing something different than your usual watering hole.

Boca Raton: Sushi by Boū

You might hear the word “sushi” and feel a little reluctant to try something rather than your usual sushi spot. Well, this is nothing like you would expect a sushi restaurant to be like.

The hidden away and tiny restaurant offers select seating times throughout the evening. Reservations must be made, but only by text. Once you walk in, you will begin by being offered a fantastic cocktail list. Make sure to try out one of their delicious mezcal-based martinis or a sake bottle from their extensive list.

Once you are seated, the chefs take over your mealtime, asking about any allergies or any other preferences when it comes to sushi. The speakeasy and omakase experience are top notch, as you sit in front of the chefs as they serve you freshly prepared sushi such as yellowtail, salmon rolls and BBQ eel Unagi.

The cozy location is one of three in South Florida, and one of the classiest and eye-catching ones. Make sure to visit and wear your classiest garb.

Boca Raton: Louie Bossi’s

While Bossi’s has a location in Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale, this one has the most beautiful bar, outside seating and cozy nooks where you can indulge on fresh Italian dishes such as their exceptional chicken parmigiana dish and their fresh from the oven pizzas.

But let’s focus on the fact that the location has one of the best happy hours in Boca Raton. The bar area brightens up with revelers and visitors to enjoy $2 off drinks and 50% off their famous pizza pies. Yes, you read that right, and maybe it’s time for a visit.

As for cocktails, there are new and exciting beverages, as well as classic ones, ready to be enjoyed. We recommend their classic Negroni, as well as the delicious grapefruit and peach martinis, welcome additions that are refreshing and burst with flavor. Then, there is also an extensive wine list with upscale wines by the glass and by the bottle. Add to that their famous Rossa Ricotta pizza, and you have created the perfect afternoon for yourself.

Delray Beach: Elisabetta’s

Located in Delray Beach’s Atlantic Avenue, this bustling classic Italian restaurant is one for the books. With a beautiful dining area and bar, you will feel like you have been transported to a place where all that exists is good food and great wine. At times, that’s all we need!

While the restaurant offers amazing classic Italian dishes (please try the amazing Bolognese pasta, it was delightful!) it’s the restaurant’s happy hour and different weekly dining and drinking opportunities make it quite the social Delray spot that’s worth visiting.

First, you must try the wine flight. Featuring three upscale Italian wines on draft, you will be floored by the selections. Also, come by for bottomless brunch on Sunday, half-priced bottles of wine on Wednesdays, Martini Mondays with 50% off martinis and a meatball special. Then there is the daily Aperitivo Hour that begins at 4 pm. The deals are fantastic, with $2 off drinks, $10 pizzas and $8 cicchetti.

With all of these options, there is no excuse to not take time for yourself and treat yourself to a relaxing time in a different environment to indulge on cocktails and good food.
