What was your inspiration behind your most recent book?

I’ve always been enamored by mythology and religion. The idea that Lucifer had a secret romance with the Creator and a lost gay son sparked an entire universe in my head; a world riddled with gods and magic. I wanted the outcast and misfit to be the hero meant to destroy all the gods so a new reign can be established.

What does "Reading Rainbow" mean to you?

Take pride in who you are, who and what you love, and the stories that make you you. It’s about stories sparking important conversations—narratives bound to change the course of the future.

Why do you feel representation of a variety of people is so important when it comes to writing books?

Seeing is believing.

Tell us a little more about the book and why you decided to write it.

When growing, we are inspired by narratives pegged as unchangeable. As we grow up, we realize that there are two certain things in life: everything changes, and everything dies. With that in mind, I set out to write a series that mirrored such truth.

What can fans expect from your book?

Lots of turns, smut, twists, and beautiful moments that might just inspire readers to share a few tears.

What's up next for you in the bookish world?

Henderbell 2! I am also writing a gay Christmas rom-com, which I am absolutely in love with.
