The Betsy Hotel will celebrate Black History Month in partnership with iWitness, an organization committed to engaging visual journalism as a means of pursuing knowledge and truth. To mark the occasion, the hotel has a new exhibition, titled “Kilombo,” by prize-winning documentary photographer and visual anthropologist Maria Daniel Balcazar, on display through May. It features large-scale documentary photographs honoring the resilience and vitality of the African legacy in Brazil, highlighting the enduring vibrancy of cultural traditions in the ever-evolving journey of identity.
