The South Florida Pride Concert Band’s “May the Fourth Be with You,” featuring the music of John Williams and hosted by Pandora Boxx of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” will be held at the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center. If you have to ask the date, you shouldn’t be allowed to go anyway.

PROUDER TOGETHER

Provincetown’s Crown & Anchor has announced the “Prouder Together” initiative, “After touring Florida on our ‘Spread Queer Cheer Tour’ and getting to know these other LGBTQ+ communities better, it became clear to me that The Crown’s mission and commitment to ‘honor, support, celebrate, and elevate’ far exceeds our community at the very tip of Cape Cod,” said Jonathan Hawkins, owner of the Crown & Anchor, in a press release.

Prouder Together will be the presenting sponsor of Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride, June 12-16, and will also sponsor and program the festival’s Black Excellency Stage. Additionally, The Crown and Prouder Together will produce Pride Fantasia: A Celebration of The Arts benefitting SunServe on June 12 at The Venue, The Eagle’s Leather & Bear Ball on Friday, June 14, and FlockFest’s Splash Pool Party “Rainbow Edition” on Sunday, June 16.

SEATTLE INVITES LGBTQ ABOARD THE ‘LOVE FOR ALL BOAT’

Visit Seattle is proudly welcoming LGBTQ couples to make a splash with their love through a unique vow renewal experience. On May 30, the organization will transform one of the city’s famed cruising boats into the “Love For All Boat” an ode to love, commitment, and belonging in the LGBTQ community.

The evening will be emceed by and include a performance from drag icon and Seattleite BenDeLaCreme. The sunset voyage will be aboard Argosy Cruises’ Salish Explorer which will travel through the Puget Sound. As part of admission, guests will be treated to Pacific Northwest cuisine, Washington wines, special performances, and a gift bag curated from a variety of local LGBTQ-owned businesses. The pinnacle of the evening will be a vow renewal ceremony led by Justice Mary Yu, Washington’s first openly gay Asian American and Latina justice – who notably officiated Washington’s first same-sex marriage in 2012.

Tickets for this one-night celebration are now available at loveforallboat.org, with comped admission available for guests of participating downtown Seattle hotels ($100 value). The cruise will set sail from Pier 55 in Downtown Seattle at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the GSBA Scholarship Fund, which supports LGBTQ and allied students.

ACROSS THE SPECTRUM

A famous actress once said, “Getting old ain’t for sissies!” She meant you had to be tough. It’s even tougher on gay men, whether single or in a relationship. SunServe is holding a weekend-long workshop called “Life’s Spectrum,” a transformative program about facing the issues of aging and connection through group sessions focused on healthy intimacy, self-acceptance, and body positivity.
