Wicked Manors 2025. Photo by JR Davis.

The theme for this year’s Wicked Manors, on Halloween night, and a benefit for The Pride Center, is “Masquerade of Mayhem.” As usual, it promises to be a night of outrageous costumes and an excuse for many folks to walk around with as little clothing as possible. You’re sure to see lots of 20/20s. That’s what I call folks who could have pulled off that costume 20 pounds or 20 years ago. Not that I’m body shaming, but sometimes you have to admit a mu-mu is the best look. I have my costume and let’s just say, it leans more to the mu-mu side of things.

Wicked Manors closes down the Drive from 21st Ct. to Five Points and attracts nearly 50,000 revelers. Due to the need for additional security, and the reduced funding from the state, ticket prices are a bit higher than in years past. General admission is $17.71, premium tickets (available to those 21+) are $46.47. Premium tickets include entry plus five official Wicked drink tickets (valued at $35)  A limited number of VIP tickets are $145.51 and include access to the air-conditioned VIP indoor lounge, complimentary light bites throughout the evening, and an open bar from 5-11 p.m. Proceeds from Wicked Manors help support The Pride Center’s programs and services. For advance tickets go to WickedManors.org/tickets.

Wicked Manors isn’t the only spooky fun on the Drive. The Haunt: Fever Dream has opened a 42,000-square-foot haunted attraction in The Venue. There are four themed haunted houses: “Blood Bath: The Jugular,” “The Last Vow: La Bruja’s Wedding,” “Psycho Circus: Delirium,” and, perhaps, most frightening of all, “Florida Man: Toxic Inheritance.”  The Haunt opens at 6:30 p.m. on select nights through Oct. 30. General admission starts at $45. You can upgrade to R.I.P. admission for extra perks. There’s even a family-friendly experience from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 24-25, starting at $15. Visit TormentedTrails.com for more information.

Xtreme Action Park, 5300 Powerline Rd., brings “Nightmare Village” through Nov. 1 and features three separate haunts: “Patches’ Slaughter,” “The Collection,” and “Haunting of Dustfield Springs — 6 Years Later.” Tours are from 7-10 p.m. (11 p.m. Saturdays, midnight Oct. 30-31 and 9 p.m. Nov. 1). General admission is $45 until the 25th, $55 from Oct. 29 to 31 and $40 on Nov. 1. Visit XtremeActionPark.com for more information.

There’s a Halloween-themed paint and sip at Rosie’s with Fay Tality on Oct. 27. Watch for a special announcement about Island City Stage production of “Who Killed Joan Crawford?” The show has been extended through Sunday — look for news about a special Halloween matinee. I’m not saying why, but it wouldn’t hurt you to buy a pair of shoulder pads. Palm Aire Daddies Halloween party is at Tropics on Sunday, Oct. 25, and the Bears of South Florida invade Jungle Island for its Halloween show that same night. The Parker hosts “It's Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus - the Ultimate Fan Experience” tonight.
