It’s time to click your heels, follow the Yellow Brick Road, and celebrate 50 years of pure magic, because "The Wiz" is officially lighting up Miami!
Kicking off the Adrienne Arsht Center’s 20th year of Broadway in Miami, this dazzling revival is more than a musical. It’s a joyful, soulful journey that reimagines Oz for a new generation.
Fresh off its acclaimed 2024 Broadway run, the national tour brings the funk, the heart, and the sparkle direct from Broadway to South Florida.
And here’s the best part, the show has a local heartbeat! Miami native Amitria Fanae’ (Ensemble, Addapearle, u/s Aunt Em/Evillene), an award-winning performer known for her powerhouse vocals and Disney and Universal Studios credits, returns home to the stage that started it all.
She’s joined by Kameren Breon Whigham, a Fort Lauderdale-born Dillard High graduate whose electrifying dance moves are ready to wow hometown audiences.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of its groundbreaking 1975 debut, "The Wiz" remains a cultural icon, blending Motown soul, show-stopping choreography, and timeless messages of courage and community.
Miami audiences are in for a night of rhythm, color, and pure Broadway joy.
