Fort Lauderdale, and the surrounding area, host a diverse array of cultural events from winter through the beginning of spring, including major festivals, live performances, and ongoing art exhibits. It’s getting so that there’s almost no room on my calendar. Just take a look.

21: Amy Armstrong is at Sunshine Cathedral, and Something Rotten is at Delray Beach Playhouse through April 12.
22: Symphony of the Americas presents Haydn’s The Creation through March 24.
23: Two Feet: The Next Steps Tour is at Revolution Live.
24: The Office! A Musical Parody at the Broward Center through May 3.
26: Florida Grand Opera presents Turandot at The Broward Center through March 28.
27: Broadway star Norbert Leo Butz is at The Adventura Center for the Arts. The Ultimate Barbie Fan Weekend takes over the new Broward Convention Center,
through March 29.
28: It’s a weekend of tribute performances, tonight it's Super Trouper an ABBA tribute band at The Parker, and 7 Bridges, billed as “The Ultimate Eagles Experience” at The Broward Center.
29: But wait, the tributes aren’t over The Simon & Garfunkel Story is at The Parker, and Beatles vs. Stones: A Musical is at The Aventura Center for the Arts, and the real Temptations and Four Tops (or what’s left of them) perform at The Broward Center

1: Countess LuAnn is famous for…something, and she’s at The Broward Center tonight.
2: Light Switch opens at Island City Stage. It’s about a gay autistic man who goes on a journey of self-discovery to find real love. It runs through May 3. Buzzcocks are at Culture Room with Red Kross
3: Ali Wong brings the funny to Hard Rock tonight.
7: Kimberly Akimbo opens at the Broward Center and runs through April 12, and Lauderhill Performing Arts Center offers The Sleeping Beauty by International Ballet Stars.Zara Larsson is at Revolution Live.
8: South Florida Symphony Orchestra presents Mendelssohn & Beethoven at The Parker, and OutSFL screens Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss, with Sean Hayes in his first featured role, at The Stonewall Museum.
10: Side by Side by Sondheim at The Pompano Beach Cultural Center through April 19, and Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical is at Lake Worth Playhouse through April 26. Tortuga Music Festival takes over Fort Lauderdale beach.
11: Hairspray opens at The Broward Center and runs through April 26. Tortuga continues, the performance line-up includes Post Malone, Riley Green, and Kenny Chesney, along with pop-up performances. Wilton Manors LIVE! featuring the Ill-Manored Players are at Arts United, and OutSFL screens Funny Lady at the Stonewall Museum.
12: Miami City Ballet: Spring Mix at The Parker tonight and tomorrow. Tortuga Music Festival continues.
14: Gay singer Calum Scott is at Revolution Live.
15: Gold Coast Jazz: Grace Kelly Quartet at Broward Center.
16: Kings of Leon begin a two-night set at Hard Rock tonight.

13: Eureka Day opens at GableStage Theatre Company and runs through June 14.
Then I have an entire week free until May 21 when Island City Stage opens Everything Beautiful Happens at Night opens at Island City Stage for a four-week run.
