This is the second consecutive year that Queer Keys Community Center has won the category.
Executive director Chris McNulty said the recognition makes the organization feel even closer to the community.
“As a small but mighty grassroots organization that recently opened the doors of our LGBTQIA+ community center in Key West, recognition for our work in OutSFL helps us feel connected to the Florida LGBTQIA+ community from our little island all the way out in the ocean down south,” McNulty said.
Queer Keys offers services like a weekly youth program, a monthly gender-expansive group, case management and funding support for gender-affirming care and a developing wellness program for holistic wellness services.
“We are working on mitigating the strain on our community health and social services that are already stretched thin by developing programming and services that lead to community resilience,” McNulty said.
