Chris Caputo was voted Best Local Activist. He’s a City Commissioner in Wilton Manors, and former board member of the Pride Center at Equality Park. He’s been a consistent supporter and participant in the annual SMART Ride, a cycling event that raises money for HIV/AIDS services in Florida.

“Winning the 'Best LGBTQ Activist' award from OutSFL readers is like finding an extra rainbow in my morning coffee – unexpected, delightful, and a reminder that even small acts of love and support can ripple through our community,” he said. “This honor isn't just about me; it's about all of us who believe in equality, who march in parades and sometimes through adversity, for the right to be ourselves.”

Runner-up: Tony Lima
