Both “Canada's Drag Race” and “Drag Race Down Under” are both having stellar seasons (both currently airing on WOW Presents Plus), but there is something special about going back to where it all started.

MTV is ru-vealing the cast of Season 17 of the Emmy-winning competition titan, “RuPaul's Drag Race,” which returns Jan. 3 on MTV at 8 ET/PT with 90-minute episodes. Fourteen brand-new queens will enter the Werk Room and battle it out week after week to compete for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar," and a cash prize of $200,000 for the winner (sponsored by Today's Tix, the theater ticket app).

The Season 17 premiere will kick off with the queens competing in "Drag Queens Got Talent." The season will also see the return of the "Rate-A-Queen" scoring system, but it comes with a brand-new twist! “RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked” (the Emmy-award winning after show) also returns this season to give viewers a behind the scenes peek at what goes on behind the scenes as the queens dish and anticipate their fate during the judges deliberations.

The Season 17 cast includes two daughters of “RuPaul's Drag Race” Season 15 alumni, a Boston queen with a massive TikTok following, a Miami queen that brings art to life, and the first queen from Asbury Park, NJ! The brand new cast for “Drag Race” Season 17 is Acacia Forgot, Arrietty, Crystal Envy, Hormona Lisa, Jewels Sparkles, Joella, Kori King, Lana Ja'Rae, Lexi Love, Lucky Starzzz, Lydia B Collins, Onya Nurve, Sam Star, and Suzie Toot.
