Friday nights at The Manor have long been a hotspot for 18+ year olds to party and dance. For them, the party’s over.

The hotspot is now 21+ for general bar nights (as opposed to special/private events like galas, birthdays, etc.).

“We decided to go for more events on Friday nights,” Gary Santis said. “A lot of promoters are coming to us, and we decided it is a better revenue stream. It also keeps it more diverse to bring in more community. Gay community, straight community, bi community.”

Santis says there were no complaints, issues of serving minors or political pressure to make the change.

“We were getting great offers to do parties on Fridays, and we were always turning them down.”

Santis says there will still be 18+ parties “here and there.”
