Whip out your sunscreen, because this summer just got a little hotter.
Key West’s five-day annual event Tropical Heat is returning this August. It promises to be the hot spot for gay men to let loose in sexy and fun gatherings with lots of clothing optional choices.
Tropical Heat, which runs from Aug. 7-11, sells VIP bands for $149, which grants you entry, or discounted entry in some cases, to all parties.
The 21+ gay male event will feature meetups such as “Cowboy Ken’s Pink Pool Party” and naked line dancing, at the AquaPlex. And that’s just the first night.
The Bourbon Street Pub will host nightly events at 10 p.m. to cap off each day.
If the pub vibe isn’t for you, opt instead for a naked drag show happening on Aug. 8 at 10 p.m. at the AquaPlex.
Weekday events start after 5 p.m., but once the weekend rolls around, the fun starts earlier.
Aug. 9 and 10 kick off with an all-day clothing-optional boat trip. You can spend the day relaxing on the boat or engage in snorkeling and sandbar activities.
The boat fun doesn’t stop there — step aboard for a Sunset Sail at 6:30 p.m. on both days.
Looking to stay on land? Join a naked luncheon on Aug. 9 at noon, and hit up Gardens Hotel for a Nemiroff Ukrainian Vodka tasting at 5 p.m.
The fun goes late on Aug. 10, with a Heat Stroke event scheduled until 4 a.m. at Saloon 1.
Dress — or don’t — your Sunday best to a clothing-optional pool party on the final day of the event, which takes place from noon to 4 p.m. at Island House.
After that, partake in a two-hour tea dance at La Te Da.
Closing out the event is bar karaoke at Bourbon Street Pub, segueing into a late night party featuring male dancers.
